Consultations & Training

Developing your clinical gifts and skills is a very special journey. There are so many approaches to consider. Each clinical theory holds different assumptions and goals. It becomes challenging to sort out your own best options.

In teaching, supervising and consulting, I help students and clinicians to consider their own subjectivity. Even as you strive to help others, your work will be grounded in your distinctive personality. We will work to deepen your strengths and broaden your skills.

Many theories have enriched my thinking, but I am also open to other ideas that you may bring to our work. Here are some of the areas that have been important to my development:

  • Relational Psychoanalysis
  • Interpersonal Psychoanalysis
  • Intersubjectivity Theory
  • Self Psychology
  • Object Relations
  • The Hungarians (Balint, Ferenczi)
  • Infant/Developmental Research
  • Neurobiological Research
  • Chaos/Complexity Theory
  • Attachment Theory

I am also available for presentations. Please see About for more information concerning my teaching and presentations.

"Thank you for going out of your way on my behalf last semester. I am grateful for your extra attention, for it permitted me to complete the course successfully..."
